Arva completed her D3 flat and over fences rating on Aug.22. Congratulations!! She will be attending the C1Traditional rating given by Silver Springs PC in Sept. Good luck!
We have been busy this August!
We had two visitors, Kaitlin and Catherine join us for some theory work.
The girls learned how to play "Musical Horses" which was a basically a riding lesson with music, when the music stopped, they had to do an emergency dismount and run their horse to the center of the ring for a theory question. The first one there, got the first chance to answer it. They had a BLAST!!
The next week the girls learned how to correcty place and fit a blanket onto a horse and how to pull a mane. They did AWESOME!!
This week we are going to work on grids, riding and more theory. They will enjoy what's planned.
School has started and in September we will move to a meeting every other Sat.

Last week Arva traveled to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington KY to compete at Championships! Despite camping in 100 degree weather and being stung by a wasp on her nose we had a GREAT time! Caitlyn, who might be our next Ozark Mountain member was with us and see what Pony Club is all about. Arva was on a Dressage team made up of Jack and Olivia from New York Upper Connecticut Region and DeAnna, Guinevere and Arva from the Midwest Region. They placed 8th overall. Arva said the lesson she learned from this trip was to do your best at everything and not just the things you are being judged on. She also discovered "Games" and wants to form a Games team.
Pony Club is GREAT!!
